Dominick Salerno is an experienced Formulations Scientist at Sail Biomedicines, specializing in the design and optimization of lipid nanoparticle formulations for nucleic acid cargos and antibody-targeted LNPs for immunology applications. Prior to this role, Dominick served as a Graduate Research Assistant at The Johns Hopkins University, developing tumor-responsive lipid nanoparticles and targeted antibody-drug conjugates for cancer therapies. Educationally, Dominick holds a PhD in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Rochester. Additional experience includes teaching assistant roles across various engineering courses and a senior design project with Xerox focusing on toner production processes. Dominick has also interned at the National Security Agency and Coventya, gaining skills in data acquisition and R&D.
