Rhian van Esch

Rhian van Esch is a Principal Frontend Engineer and Frontend Architect at Sendcloud since July 2018, where responsibilities include leading a significant upgrade of a 180,000 LOC codebase from Vue.js version 2 to version 3, defining the frontend technical roadmap, and facilitating cross-team meetings for frontend initiatives. Prior to this role, Rhian served as a Frontend Lead, Senior Frontend Developer, and Frontend Developer at Sendcloud, contributing to various projects including the migration from AngularJS to Vue and modernizing frontend architecture. Previously, experience includes a Junior Developer position at TheTin Brand & Technology, where bespoke microsites were developed using Vue.js, as well as roles at Boots UK as an Assistant Manager and Customer Assistant. Additionally, freelance web development work involved WordPress theme development with an emphasis on responsive design and accessibility. Rhian holds a degree in Full Stack Web Development from freeCodeCamp and completed education at the University of York and North London Collegiate School.
