Joan Morgenstern has a diverse range of work experience in the field of education and parenting. Starting in 1980, they had teaching positions until 2006. In 1983, they worked as an Assistant Director at the Hudson Guild Child Care Center until 1986. From 1999 to 2001, they served as the Director of Family Place at the Mandel Jewish Community Center. In 2006, they became an Educational Consultant & Parent Coach, a role they still hold today. Additionally, they have held various roles including Director of Early Childhood Services at the Mandel Jewish Community Center, Consultant & Curriculum Advisor at JECC, and Approved Training Instructor at Step-Up-To-Quality. Most recently, they have been the Director of Parent Education and Community Outreach at Senders Pediatrics since 2018.
Joan Morgenstern holds a Master's Degree in Science in Education and a Professional Diploma in Supervision and Administration, which they obtained from Bank Street College of Education during the period from 1983 to 1984. Prior to that, they attended Chatham University from 1976 to 1980, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. Their degree included a concentration in Psychology. In addition to their formal education, Joan Morgenstern has obtained certifications as a Certified Nurtured Heart Parent Coach from the Foundation for Children's Alliances for Success & Education of Youth in 2017, and as a Breakthrough Parent Coach from Breakthrough Parenting Inc. in 2014.
