Matthew Pagels

The President executes all duties as outlined under the Seneca Nation Constitution; acts as the primary spokesperson on all matters concerning the Seneca Nation; attends and chairs all meetings of the Tribal Council; and upholds the laws of the Seneca Nation. The President’s Office serves the Seneca people, acts as a liaison between the Seneca Nation and outside agencies, and provides advisement and direction to all Seneca Nation Programs and Departments. The President is elected by the Seneca members every two years.
