Matthew Jones

Matthew Jones currently serves as the Sustainability Manager at the Welsh Parliament (Senedd) since November 2015, focusing on enhancing sustainability performance and managing energy efficiency and waste management projects at the Cardiff Bay estate. Prior to this role, Matthew worked as an Environmental Sustainability Officer at Cardiff University, supporting the LCRI Programme and developing improvement strategies for businesses. Previous experience includes positions as a Quality Controller at Lloyds Banking Group, where Matthew trained offshore staff and contributed to quality assurance, a Quality Manager at Leggett & Platt Automotive Group overseeing defect reduction and component approval, an Environmental Consultant at ARENA Network implementing environmental management systems, and an Environmental Co-ordinator at Vale of Glamorgan Council responsible for environmental improvements and staff training.
