Chris Mwala

Chris Mwala is a Pr. Eng and holds a B.Eng. Chem (Hons) and Finance MBA. Their work experience includes roles such as Principal Process Engineer at SENET (Pty) Ltd, Founder and Managing Director of CMM Consultancy and Supply (Pty) Ltd, Process and Sustainability Manager at Metalkol, Eurasian Resources Group (ERG) Africa, Senior Process Engineer at Eurasian Resources Group (ERG) Africa, Project Manager at Sydwalt (Pty) Ltd, Process Project Engineer at Vale / ARM JV (TEAL Management Corporation), Senior Process Engineer at TWP Projects (now Worley), various roles at Palabora Mining Company including Business Analyst, Operations & Technical Superintendent, and Metallurgist, and Metallurgist at Precious Metals Refiners (PMR), AMPLATS, and Senior Assistant Metallurgical Engineer at Tailings Leach Plant (TLP), ZCCM.

Chris Mwala has an extensive education history. Chris obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree in Chemical Engineering with Minerals Engineering from the University of Birmingham between 1989 and 1992. Prior to that, they completed high school at Mpelembe Secondary School, specializing in Cambridge Advanced Level from 1987 to 1989, and at Roan Antelope Secondary School, where they completed Grade 12 Ordinary Level from 1982 to 1986.

In terms of additional certifications, Chris Mwala obtained a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) qualification from the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) in December 2015. Chris also holds a Diploma in Production Management and a Diploma in Project Management from Executive Education in Johannesburg, South Africa, obtained in February 2001 and April 1999, respectively. Furthermore, they are an Associate Member (AMIChemE) of The Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) in the United Kingdom (U.K.), which they achieved in September 1992.

Chris Mwala completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Finance from the Edinburgh Business School at Heriot-Watt University from 2001 to 2005. Additionally, they have recently obtained Verified International Academic Qualifications from the World Education Services in November 2020.
