Mponda Masaninga has extensive experience in process engineering, with a focus on the mining and metals industry. Mponda began their career in 2001 as a Senior Projects Metallurgist at Konkola Copper Mines plc, where they worked until 2004. Mponda then joined Bateman Minerals and Metals in 2005 as a Process Engineer, and later became a Senior Process Engineer from 2007 to 2008. In 2008, Masaninga moved to SENET (Pty) Ltd. as a Senior Process Engineer and was later promoted to the role of Principal Process Engineer in 2010, where they continue to work.
Mponda Masaninga completed a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Chemical Engineering with Minerals Engineering from the University of Birmingham from 1990 to 1993. Later, from 2007 to 2008, they also pursued a Certificate in Advanced Management Programme (MAP) from The University of Witwatersrand.
