Subsequently, they attended the University of Wales, Cardiff from 1996 to 1998, earning a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biochemistry. Dayle then furthered their studies at Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd starting in 1998 and concluding in 2001, during which they completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Molecular Biology. Following their PhD, they engaged in a Post Doctoral Fellowship at Cardiff University from 2000 to 2002, specializing in Molecular Microbiology and Environmental Chemistry.
