Carol Ayars

Carol Ayars, CVA, serves as the AmeriCorps Seniors Programs Manager at Senior Connections, The Capital Area Agency on Aging, overseeing the Foster Grandparent Program and RSVP since July 2021. In addition to this role, Carol has held several leadership positions, including President and Professional Development Chair at the Greater Richmond Association of Volunteer Administration (GRAVA) since August 2020, and board member for both the AmeriCorps Seniors Professional Network and the Association of Leaders In Volunteer Engagement since January 2023. Carol's extensive volunteer management experience also includes roles at Girl Scouts of the USA as Troop Leader and Council Trainer since 1994, and various positions at organizations such as Bon Secours St. Mary's Hospital, Carpenter's Place, Rockford Rescue Mission, American Red Cross, and Lutheran Social Services of Illinois. Carol attended Cedarville University from 1989 to 1990 and graduated from New Lisbon High School in 1989.
