Rick Thomson

Rick Thomson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in business operations and program management, currently serving as Senior Director of Business Operations and Senior Director of Program Management in the Auto Business at Sensata Technologies since July 2012. Leading a global team of approximately 75 project managers, Rick has successfully executed over 300 New Product Development and Change Management programs focused on eMobility and Powertrain sectors across North America and Europe. Prior roles at Sensata include Director of Global Program Management and Business Operations for eMobility, along with positions as Manager of Program Management and Program Manager, where Rick oversaw cross-functional teams and led significant product development initiatives. Rick began the career at Hitchiner Manufacturing and SalesQuest, LLC, where foundational skills in engineering, continuous improvement, and market research were developed. Academically, Rick holds an M.B.A. from Boston University and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
