Bill Wood

Head Of Operational Services East at Sense Scotland

Bill Wood has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Bill started their career as a Mining Craft Apprentice at the National Coal Board in 1982 and worked there until 1985. From 1985 to 1994, they worked as a Psychiatric Nurse at Fife NHS Board. In 1994, they joined Sense Scotland as the Head of Operational Services East. In this role, they were responsible for strategic planning, service development, and recruitment.

Bill Wood attended Buckhaven High School from 1978 to 1982, where they earned O Grades and H Grades in a range of subjects. Bill then went on to attend Lauder College in Halbeath from 1982 to 1985. At Lauder College, they pursued Mining Craft SCOTVEC courses with a focus on the Coal Mining Industry.
