Gijs den Butter has held a variety of roles in the technology industry since 2012. Gijs was a Director for De Kleine Consultant in Delft from 2012 to 2013, and an Intern for Strategic Designer at Quby from 2013 to 2015. In 2015, they became a Global K50 Fellow for the Sigma Squared Society and Co-Founder of AdjuvoMotion. In 2017, they became Chief Product Officer and Co-Founder of SenseGlove, and later CEO and Co-Founder. In 2021, they became Co-founder of the Haptics Club.
Gijs den Butter attended Delft University of Technology from 2009 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Industrial and Product Design in 2013, followed by a Master of Science (MS) in Strategic Product Design in 2015. Prior to that, they attended Geert Groote College from 2003 to 2009.
