Ryo MacPherson

Ryo MacPherson has a diverse work experience, beginning with their role as an English Teacher for the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program(me) (JET) in 2010. Ryo then went on to become an ESL Instructor (remote) for ALC Press, Inc. and a Native English Instructor for ECC (Japan) in 2014. In 2017, they took on roles as a UX Designer for Methodify and Freelance Design. In 2020, they were a UX Researcher & Designer for OneRiver Software and a Senior UX Design Consultant for Content Bloom. Most recently, they are a Lead Product Designer and Senior Product Designer for Sensei Labs.

Ryo MacPherson completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology (Honours) from the University of Manitoba between 2005 and 2010. In 2013 and 2014, Ryo MacPherson attended ARC Academy for an intensive one-year Japanese language course. In 2015 and 2016, Ryo MacPherson obtained a Master's Degree in International Human Resource Management and Comparative Industrial Relations from The University of Manchester. In 2016, Ryo MacPherson also obtained an Assoc CIPD (Level 7 - Postgraduate) from CIPD. In 2017, Ryo MacPherson completed an Immersive Web Dev Bootcamp at Lighthouse Labs. In 2012, Ryo MacPherson obtained a TEFL from ITTT - International TEFL & TESOL training.
