Matthew O'Neil began their work experience in 2021 as a Network Security Research Assistant at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Matthew then interned at the Tennessee Valley Authority, first as a Digital Solutions Intern from October 2021 to August 2022, and then as a Cybersecurity Analyst Intern from August 2022 to March 2023. Currently, they are employed at SenseOn as a Junior Cyber Analyst starting from March 2023.

Matthew O'Neil completed their education in the field of Computer Science Cybersecurity. Matthew obtained a Bachelor's degree from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where they studied from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, they attended Chattanooga State Community College, from 2018 to 2020, and earned an Associate's degree in Computer Science. In addition to their academic qualifications, Matthew has obtained several certifications including Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals from Microsoft in April 2023, Uniting Threat and Risk Management with NIST 800-53 & MITRE ATT&CK from AttackIQ in July 2022, Foundations of Breach & Attack Simulation from AttackIQ in June 2022, CompTIA Network+ ce Certification from CompTIA in February 2023, and CompTIA Security+ ce Certification from CompTIA in June 2022.
