John Cruikshank is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in civil and structural engineering. Since June 1996, John has served as President and CEO of JMC2, a company based in Los Angeles, offering a comprehensive range of engineering services. In addition to this role, John has been the Mayor of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes since December 2017 and a Regional Partner at Sensequake since May 2019, promoting innovative sensing technologies for various clients. John's previous positions include Project Manager at Alpha Engineering Group, Design Engineer at Tudor Engineering Company, and Assistant Transportation Engineer at Caltrans. John holds a BSCE and MSEMT from the University of Southern California, and also pursued a candidacy for LA County Supervisor in early 2023, receiving 14% of the vote.
