Dmitry Zimin has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Dmitry is currently working at Sensirion as a Program Director since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Hitachi Energy as a Group Manager from 2020 to 2023, where they managed semiconductor FAB volume production, investment projects, and led operational improvements. Before that, they served as a Group Leader at ABB Switzerland Ltd. from 2015 to 2020. Dmitry also worked at TEL Solar AG (formerly Oerlikon Solar) as a Senior Manager from 2012 to 2015, and at Oerlikon Solar as a Team Manager R&D / Sustainment, Innovation Project Manager, and Process Engineer LPCVD / TCO from 2004 to 2012. In these roles, they gained extensive knowledge in thin film silicon technology, machine building, vacuum, and LPCVD TCO processes.
Dmitry Zimin's education history begins in 1994 when they attended Yaroslavl Demidov State University. Dmitry pursued a degree in Engineer/Physicist and specialized in Thin Film Physics, Microelectronics, and general Physics. Dmitry successfully completed their undergraduate education in 1999.
In 2000, Dmitry continued their academic journey at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zürich) and embarked on a PhD program in the field of Thin Film Physics, Optoelectronics, MBE, and IV-VI materials. Dmitry dedicated four years to their research and studies and obtained their PhD/Dr. natural sciences degree in 2004.
Later, in 2006, Dmitry returned to the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology to pursue further education. Dmitry enrolled in the MAS "Business, Technology and Economics" program, which covered various subjects such as General Management, Logistics, Production, Innovation Management, and Strategic Management. Dmitry completed the program in 2008.
