Ioan G. has a diverse work experience in both software engineering and research. From 2017 onwards, they worked at Sensirion as a Software Engineer, where they collaborated with Process Engineers for requirements engineering, designed software architectures, implemented and tested software products, maintained internal frameworks and libraries, and mentored interns and juniors. Before that, from 2014 to 2017, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Helsinki Institute of Physics, where they performed analytical and numerical calculations in the fields of High Energy Physics and Astrophysics, developed mathematical models, and used C++ and Mathematica for computations. Prior to that, in 2014, they also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Albert Einstein Center for Fundamental Physics, Bern University.

Ioan G. completed their education in the field of Theoretical and Mathematical Physics. Ioan obtained a Bachelor's degree from Babeș-Bolyai University in 2008. Ioan then pursued a Master's degree at Bielefeld University from 2008 to 2010. Ioan G.'s academic journey continued with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree at Bielefeld University, which they completed from 2010 to 2013.

In addition to their formal education, Ioan G. has also obtained several certifications. In 2017, they completed a course titled "Simulation and modeling of natural processes" from Coursera. In 2019, they acquired knowledge in "Introduction to TensorFlow for Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning" from the same institution. Lastly, in 2023, Ioan G. obtained the certification of "Certified Professional for Software Architecture (Foundation level)" from the iSAQB® - International Software Architecture Qualification Board.
