Martina Hitzbleck

Martina Hitzbleck has a comprehensive background in research and development, specifically in the field of sensor innovation. Martina started their career at IBM Research - Almaden in 2008, where they worked on Phase Change Materials for a period of four months. In 2008, they also joined Forschungszentrum Jülich, focusing on Biosensors for about a year. From 2010 to 2013, they worked at IBM Research - Zurich, specializing in Microfluidics for Diagnostics. Since 2014, Martina has been with Sensirion, assuming various roles. Initially, they served as an R&D Engineer Sensor Innovation until 2016. Subsequently, they became Teamlead R&D Gas Sensors and held this position until 2021. Currently, Martina is working at Sensirion as a Key Account Manager - Medical, starting in December 2021.

Martina Hitzbleck obtained their PhD degree from ETH Zürich, where they studied from 2010 to 2013. Previously, they completed their Diplom degree in Physics at RWTH Aachen University, graduating between 2004 and 2009. During their time at RWTH Aachen University, they also spent a year studying Physics at Universidad Tecnica Federico Santa Maria from 2007 to 2008.
