Matthias Schibli

Matthias Schibli started their work experience as an Embedded Control Engineer at Air-On AG in March 2010 and worked there until September 2013. In October 2013, they began working on personal projects, focusing on prototyping, feasibility studies, sensors, composite materials, and low-power IoT. Matthias also developed a kitesurf-bar with sensors and worked on anti-fogging for bathroom mirrors. In October 2013, they also started working at Sensirion as an R&D Engineer, where they were involved in signal processing, control systems, physical modeling, customer-focused algorithm development, and data science. Matthias later took on the role of Senior R&D Engineer at Sensirion, leading projects, collaborating with universities, and working on projects such as humidity step setup and perspiration measurement/thermal comfort. Matthias continues to work at Sensirion as of January 2018.

Matthias Schibli completed their education with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mechanical Engineering from ETH Zürich. Matthias pursued this degree from 2004 to 2009. Prior to that, they obtained another Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Maschinenbau from ETH Zürich between 1999 and 2004. No information is provided regarding their education at UC Santa Barbara.
