Senior Process Engineer at Sensirion

Sophie Redford has a diverse work experience background. Sophie'smost recent position is as a Process Engineer at Sensirion, starting in March 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Paul Scherrer Institut PSI for four years, from February 2016 to January 2020. Sophie also served as an Applied Fellow at CERN for three years, from January 2013 to December 2015. Sophie briefly worked as an Advisor for the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology in the field of Physical Sciences and IT in early 2012. Sophie began their career in research as a Summer Research Student at Fermilab in 2008, and prior to that, they gained experience as a Summer Student at CERN in 2007.

In 2006, they participated in an ERASMUS year at Université Grenoble Alpes, further enriching their knowledge in Physics. Later, they pursued a higher level of education and attended the University of Oxford from 2008 to 2012, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Physics.

In addition to their academic achievements, Sophie Redford also holds a certification in the Goethe-Zertifikat B1, which they obtained from the Goethe-Institut e.V. in December 2021.
