Senior Process Integration Manager - Pilot Production at Sensirion

Torben Gillich has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Torben started their career as a research assistant at ETH Zurich in 2007, where they worked for 6 months in the Laboratory for Surface Science and Technology. Torben then pursued their doctoral studies at ETH Zurich, specializing in the self-organization of dendrons for the creation of non-interactive biointerfaces. During this time, they also worked as a postdoctoral fellow.

After completing their PhD, Torben joined ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences as a research assistant in the Laboratory of Adhesives and Polymer Materials. Torben was involved in the development of a new type of reactive hot melt adhesive in collaboration with an industrial partner. Torben also supervised student projects and gained experience in project management.

In 2014, Torben transitioned to the industry and joined Sonova Gruppe as a Process Development Engineer. Torben was responsible for analyzing and improving the manufacturing process of a product component. Torben then progressed to a role as a Team Leader in Process Development, where they led an engineering team, recruited and supervised trainees, and implemented improvements in laboratory safety and equipment.

In 2022, Torben assumed the role of Senior Manager Surface & Joining Technologies at Sonova Gruppe. In this position, they led the Surface and Joining Technologies team, managed their development, and provided technical expertise and support. Torben was also responsible for technology scouting, process optimization, and the implementation of statistical methods for process analysis.

Most recently, Torben started working at Sensirion in 2023 as a Process Integration Manager in Pilot Production. Further details about this role are not provided.
