Rik Kielman has worked in various roles and companies throughout their career. In 2000, they started as an Account Manager at Sapa Aluminium, where they were responsible for business development in the northern part of the Netherlands. From 2002 to 2005, they worked as an Assistant Business Development at Freia/EDI, acquiring assignments for energy companies and setting up the project department. In 2010, they joined Innosource as a Business Development Director, providing testing facilities for FMCG producers. From 2005 to 2013, they served as the Managing Director at Berrnell Food BV, setting up the company and introducing Sporteff products in multiple countries. In 2013, they became the Hospital Introduction Manager at Gannet B.V., involved in making the business plan, attracting venture capital, and introducing the Gannet implant in hospitals in NW Europe. Lastly, in 2020, Rik Kielman joined Sensius as the Director of Marketing & Sales, responsible for marketing strategy, international sales of oncology medtech devices, and reimbursement strategies. In 2022, they became the CCO at Sensius.
Rik Kielman completed their Bachelor's degree in Business Management from Hanzehogeschool Groningen / Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen, spanning from 1993 to 1997. In addition, they pursued studies in Health Economics for Non-Health-Economics at CELforPharma, where they focused on cost-effectiveness studies and assessing the quality of studies from the payer's perspective.
