Sensor Coating Systems (SCS) Limited

Sensor Coating Systems (SCS) are pioneering a new type of temperature measurement technology based on thermal memory materials, which has been recognised through several industrial awards (British Engineering Excellence Award) and grants from governmental organisations (Innovate UK, NATEP, ATI & APC). SCS is a post-revenue company and in 2020 despite Covid-19 SCS was able to attract additional contracts in the aviation, power generation and automotive industry with global blue chip customers. See our website https://www.sensorcoatings.com Please get in touch if you require advanced thermal mapping on complex components in harsh and inaccessible environments. We are active in the following sectors: - AEROSPACE: Turbine blades, vanes, rotors, etc. - AUTOMOTIVE: Turbocharger wheels, pistons, valves, etc. - POWER GEN: Combustion chambers, transitions, blades, vanes, etc. - INDUSTRIAL PROCESSES: Maintenance, service, treatment quality - OIL & GAS: High temperature pipework, valves, pumps and turbines The primary technology, called Thermal History Coatings and Paint, has game-changing benefits over the current state-of-the-art methods. Benefits of the Thermal History technology: - Non-destructive and non-intrusive - No access required during operation - Accurate, objective 2D temperature profiling on critical components - Non-toxic; compliant with EU REACH legislation - Continuous and high resolution measurement data - Provides a permanent record which can be used as a warranty tool - In-situ measurements post operation - Temperature maps on 3D CAD model for rapid validation The technology has been successfully demonstrated on gas turbine blades, turbocharger components, automotive engines and other applications.
