Chris (KuoYu) Lin has over 20 years of experience in software engineering and technical direction. Chris (KuoYu) began their career in 2000 at Fortemedia as a Technical Director, where they were in charge of embedded firmware development for low power IC products with features such as AEC, array microphone beam-forming, and noise suppression. Chris (KuoYu) then moved to Broadcom in 2008 as a Sr. Staff Software Engineer, where they worked on audio driver/firmware development and interfacing with embedded DSPs for voice enhancement signal processing. In 2013, Chris joined GainSpan as a Principal Engineer, where they were the software architect of the RF ASIC team and designed and implemented bench test software for TX, RX, LX, and AX RF modules of the WLAN chip. Chris (KuoYu) then moved to DSP Concepts in 2014 as a Sr. Technical Director, where they supported Audio Weaver and designed and implemented Audio Weaver modules. Lastly, in 2015, Chris joined Sensory, Inc. as a Sr. Software Engineer, where they were in charge of the embedded porting of Sensory voice trigger and control technology to various Tensilica HiFi DSP cores, CEVA TL3/TL4/X2, Cirrus ADSP2/Halo, Conexant CAPE, and ARM CM4 cores.
Chris (KuoYu) Lin obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering from Syracuse University between 1987 and 1993. Prior to this, they graduated from National Sun Yat-Sen University with a BS in Electrical Engineering in 1985.
