Marla Sanchez has an extensive work experience in finance and investment. Marla started their career in 1983 as a Financial Analyst at AMD and later worked as a Director of Manufacturing Controller at VLSI Technology. At SDL Inc., Marla served as a Corporate Controller and played a crucial role in the company's financial statements organization. From 2001 to 2006, they worked at SDL Ventures as an Associate, where their primary responsibilities included stabilizing and turning around portfolio companies. In 2006, Marla joined Avanex as a CFO, Sr. VP, Board Secretary, and Chief Governance Officer. Marla managed financial statements, investor relations, legal matters, and corporate governance for the fiber optics company. In 2008, Marla co-founded InSite Partners, LLC, where they currently serve as a General Partner. InSite Partners is an active investor in hardware and material science product technology companies. Marla's role involves helping companies move from prototype to volume product and profitable revenue generation. Since 2016, Marla has been working as the Chief Financial Officer at SensThys.

Marla Sanchez completed their education at Santa Clara University from 1981 to 1983, where they obtained an MBA with a specialization in Finance. Prior to that, they attended Stanford University from 1974 to 1979, earning both a Master of Science (MS) and Bachelor of Science (BS). At Stanford, they studied Biology and Psychology.
