Veerle Dam, PhD, currently serves as a Health Science and Regulatory Affairs Specialist at Sensus since February 2020, focusing on innovative prebiotic ingredients that promote a healthy microbiome. Furthermore, Veerle was part of the Cosun Young Executive Board from January 2023 to March 2024, providing advisory insights to the Cosun Board. Previous research experience includes postdoctoral positions at Erasmus MC and Sanquin, along with a PhD at UMC Utrecht. Veerle has also held various roles in academia, including a visiting PhD student position at The University of Queensland and internships in health-related settings. Educational credentials include a Master's in Postgraduate Epidemiology from Utrecht University and a Master of Science in Health Sciences from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Dietetics from HAN University of Applied Sciences.
