Elizabeth Leitner

Elizabeth Leitner has a diverse work experience in the field of biosciences. Elizabeth currently works as a Senior Research Associate II at Senti Biosciences since January 2023. Prior to this, they held roles as a Senior Research Associate and a Research Associate II at the same company from 2018 to 2020.

Before joining Senti Biosciences, Elizabeth worked at UCSF where they served as an Assistant Specialist & Lab Manager in Dr. Tiffany Scharschmidt's lab from May 2016 to August 2018, studying the adaptive immune response to skin commensal bacteria. Elizabeth also worked as a Junior Specialist in the Hans Christian von Budingen/Stephen Hauser-Jonah Chan Lab from January 2015 to April 2016, focusing on the effects of multiple sclerosis and assisting with lab management, orders, and clinical trial collaborations.

Elizabeth's work experience also includes a stint as a Student at City College of San Francisco in 2018. In addition, they gained valuable experience as an Intern Research Assistant at Crystal Bioscience, where they worked on projects related to species preservation and HIV treatment from January 2014 to January 2015, and at the University of Southern California in 2013 and 2012.

Throughout their career, Elizabeth has developed skills in various areas such as protein chromatography, database maintenance, scientific method, tissue culture, bench work, protocol optimization, and data analysis.

Elizabeth Leitner completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, from 2010 to 2014. Elizabeth then pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, from 2022 to 2025. Additionally, they obtained certifications in Drug Commercialization from Coursera in August 2020 and in Leading without Formal Authority from LinkedIn in May 2020.
