Brendan Gallagher has worked in a variety of roles in the past 14 years. In 2006, they worked as a Neurotechnology Undergraduate Research Assistant at the William T. Greenough Laboratory, Beckman Institute and as a Summer Student in Cancer Biology and Epigenomics at the Children's Memorial Research Center. In 2007, they worked as a Research Intern at Sigma Aldrich's SAFC BioSciences. From 2008 to 2011, they worked as an Associate Scientist at BioSynthema Inc, which was later acquired by Advanced Accelerator Applications and then Novartis. During this time, they completed research and study reports included in applications to the FDA to start human clinical trials. In 2011, they worked as a Senior Associate Intern at PwC's Health Industries Advisory, where they worked with a major pharmaceutical company to facilitate organizational change within their clinical trial management system. From 2013 to 2015, they worked as a Technical Sales Consultant at Appistry and an Account Executive at Annai Systems. Since 2015, they have been the Head of Business Development at Sentieon Inc., where they have demonstrated the accuracy and efficiency of their software for processing genomic data.

Brendan Gallagher received their MBA from the University of Notre Dame between 2010 and 2012. Prior to that, they earned their BS in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign between 2004 and 2007.
