Jason Carr

Jason Carr has a diverse work experience in the IT field. Jason started their career in 2001 as a Technical Support Specialist at Tzell Travel and worked there until 2009. Then, from 2009 to 2012, they worked as a Technical Support Specialist at Calloway Laboratories, where they provided technical support to over 520 users and managed various network connectivity issues.

In 2012, Jason joined Sentinel Benefits as a System Administrator. During their tenure, they managed NetApp infrastructure, ensured the efficient operation of Oracle database systems, and provided technical support to over 300 users in a Citrix XenApp environment. Jason also handled tasks like setting up new users in Active Directory and Exchange, troubleshooting virtual servers, and building new FTP and SFTP connections for clients. Jason worked at Sentinel Benefits until 2015.

From 2015 to 2016, Jason worked at Putnam Investments as a Storage Specialist, focusing on storage management and operations.

In 2017, Jason returned to Sentinel Benefits, but this time as a Storage and Infrastructure Engineer. Jason was responsible for managing NetApp and SQL backups, monitoring and troubleshooting NetApp Snapmirror replication, and ensuring the optimal performance of Oracle database systems. Jason's tenure in this role lasted until 2019.

Lastly, Jason worked at Sentinel Benefits & Financial Group from 2019 to 2021, firstly as a Manager, Infrastructure Architect, where they provided storage engineering and leadership to the IT infrastructure team. Jason also played a key role in various strategic meetings and handled tasks like managing storage environments, developing disaster recovery plans, and negotiating contracts with vendors. In 2021, they were promoted to the position of IT Director - Infrastructure Services, where they oversaw infrastructure services and managed NetApp block and file infrastructures.

Jason Carr obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing and Management Information Systems (MIS) from Northeastern University between 1998 and 2001. Prior to that, they attended Roger Williams University from 1995 to 1998, where they studied Marketing, Business Management, and Finance. In addition to their formal education, Jason Carr also obtained the NetApp Certified Data Management Administrator (NCDA) certification from NetApp in August 2014.
