Tom Werlein

Tom Werlein is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in the insurance and risk management sectors. Currently serving as Associate Counsel at Sentry Insurance since November 2015, Tom directs the defense and resolution of legal matters and offers legal and business advice across various company divisions. Prior to this role, Tom worked as Counsel at Medical Protective, focusing on healthcare liability product development and regulatory affairs. Tom's career includes significant positions at Ameriprise Auto & Home Insurance, where responsibilities ranged from compliance management to overseeing litigation for the claims department, and earlier roles at Northland Insurance Co, Johnson & van Vliet, LLP, Allstate, and Mazorol & Assoc. Tom earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Minnesota Law School and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
