KaiGe (John) Chen has an extensive work experience in software engineering, starting in 2000 as a Software Engineer and Team Lead at TradeStation, where they implemented the price data storage (PDS) engine for real-time storage and bar building logic for TradeStation's Global Server. In 2005, they joined American Express as a Project Architect for Mobile Initiatives and wrote the Amex iPhone app, released in March 2010. In 2009, they became the Head of Mobile Development at Moocho. In 2012, they were the Lead iOS Engineer at Magic Leap, where they built out capabilities that bridged the gap between current platform technologies and Magic Leap's proprietary technologies in the AR space. In 2014, they joined Refractal as a Sr. Software Engineer, where they were responsible for implementation of proprietary image analysis algorithms, including the porting of numerical algorithms from Python / scipy / numpy for direct native use in Dart on both desktop and mobile. Finally, in 2017, they joined MobileCoin as a Sr. Software Engineer.

KaiGe (John) Chen began their educational journey at Fudan University, where they studied Computer Science from 1993 to 1997. KaiGe(John) then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, with a minor in Physics, at Florida International University from 1998 to 2000.
