Hamed Bazaz

Hamed Bazaz has a diverse work experience spanning over 16 years. Hamed is currently serving as the Director of Business Development at Seoul Robotics since October 2021. Prior to this, they founded and managed JournalEdit, a startup that helps academics and researchers publish scholarly articles in languages other than their native language. Hamed also worked at OWiN as the Director of Business Development from April 2018 to May 2020.

Hamed has a strong background in the oil and gas industry, having worked at bp for a significant part of their career. Hamed held the position of Senior Product Manager, Technical, where they managed global B2B account relationships with offshore oil and gas equipment OEMs. Hamed was also a Project Implementation Leader, overseeing a $15 million portfolio of projects, including the deployment of new wireless corrosion sensors across manufacturing plants.

Before joining bp, Hamed worked at Shell as an Inspection & Reliability Engineer, supporting refinery process units and leading mechanical repairs. Hamed also had a brief stint at ZS Associates as an Operations Consultant, providing sales and marketing consultancy services to Fortune 500 consumer brands. Hamed started their career at bp as a Project Engineer.

Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan between 2006 and 2007. Before their graduate studies, Hamed earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan from 2002 to 2006.
