Murali Iyer

Head of Sourcing and Indirect Procurement, Middle East at Sephora

Murali Iyer is the current Head of Sourcing and Indirect Procurement for Sephora in the Middle East. Prior to this, they worked for Unilever for over 20 years in various procurement roles, most recently as Senior Procurement Manager for Marketing and Business Services in South Asia and APAC. In this role, they were responsible for leading and managing the strategic sourcing of marketing and business services across a spend base of Euro 350 million.

Previously, Iyer worked for Hindustan Unilever Ltd as Asst Purchase Manager for Product Development. In this role, they were responsible for procurement of raw materials, chemicals, IT equipment, engineering equipment and instruments for development centres and factories. Murali was also responsible for key cost effectiveness programs during their time with the company.

Iyer began their career with SBI Global Factors Limited as a finance executive in April 1991. Murali remained with the company until April 1994 before joining Hindustan Unilever Ltd.

Murali Iyer has completed their BCom from the University of Mumbai and is a qualified ICWAI Final GII from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India. Murali has experience in cost accountancy, management accountancy, taxation and operations research.

They are on a team with Minke Bergen - Head of Client Strategy & Experience, Europe - Middle East, Graziele Neves Silva - GM & Country Manager, Sephora Portugal, and Bruno Amadei - CFO, Europe & Middle East. Their manager is Guillaume Motte, President, Europe & Middle East.
