Joe Armstrong has a diverse background in the agricultural industry. Joe is currently the Director of Research, Regulatory, and Innovation at SePRO Corporation since April 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Corteva Agriscience, holding various roles such as Technology Characterization Leader, Discovery Herbicides from October 2020 to March 2022, North America Zonal Biology Leader, Row Crops Herbicides from June 2019 to December 2021, and Field Station Leader, Western Research Center from August 2015 to June 2019. Before joining Corteva Agriscience, Joe was a Crop Protection Research & Development Field Scientist at Dow AgroSciences from May 2012 to August 2015. Joe started their career as an Assistant Professor and Weed Science Extension Specialist at Oklahoma State University from April 2009 to April 2012.
Joe Armstrong completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Agronomy with a minor in Agricultural Economics at Kansas State University from 2000 to 2004. Joe then pursued a Master of Science degree in Weed Science at Purdue University from 2004 to 2006. Following this, they obtained a PhD in Weed Science from Michigan State University between 2006 and 2009.
