Meg McCarrick

Meg McCarrick is an accomplished chemist with extensive experience in computational chemistry and drug discovery. Currently serving as a Senior Staff Scientist at Septerna since August 2025, prior roles include Associate Director of Computational Chemistry at Plexium and Senior Scientist positions at Ferring Pharmaceuticals and ChemAxon. Meg's career began at Berlex Biosciences, contributing to biophysics and structure-based drug design, and included significant work at Celgene on multiple drug discovery projects, notably the JNK inhibitor initiative. Meg holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry from UCLA and completed postdoctoral work in Biophysics at the University of California, San Francisco. Additionally, Meg has actively participated in Toastmasters, holding leadership positions such as Club President.
