Ryan Muir has worked in a variety of roles since 2012. Ryan began as a Development Intern at Roche Molecular Systems, followed by a Student Research Assistant at The Scripps Research Institute. In 2013, they worked as a Research and Development Intern at Ariosa Diagnostics and a Student Research Assistant at the Burkart Lab at UC San Diego. From 2012-2014, they were an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at UC San Diego Department of Chemistry, and in 2018, they were an Adjunct Faculty at the University of San Francisco. From 2020-2022, they held various roles at Stanford University, including Postdoctoral Scholar, and at Septerna, including Senior Scientist and Scientist II, Discovery Biology.
Ryan Muir completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biochemistry/Chemistry at UC San Diego between 2010 and 2014. Ryan then went on to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Chemistry and Chemical Biology from the University of California, San Francisco between 2014 and 2019.
