Evan Floden is the CEO and Co-founder of Seqera since October 2018, bringing a robust background in bioinformatics and biomedicine. Prior to this role, Floden served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Centre for Genomic Regulation from November 2018 to January 2020, and worked as a Senior Bioinformatician at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute in 2014. Earlier experience includes a position as a Development Scientist at Aroa Biosurgery Limited (2008-2012) and as a Research Assistant at Victoria University of Wellington (2006-2008). Academic qualifications include a PhD in Biomedicine from Universitat Pompeu Fabra (2014-2018), an International Masters in Bioinformatics from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna (2012-2014), and a BSc in Biotechnology from Victoria University of Wellington (2005-2010). Floden completed secondary education at Whanganui Collegiate School (1999-2003).
