Erik Volke

Mr. Volke is skilled in Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and R&D. He has over 16 years’ experience in biotechnology and medical device instrumentation fields where he has held management positions at both start-up and established FDA regulated ISO 13485 environments.

Prior to joining SeqLL, Erik worked in a number of manufacturing and management roles during his time at Affymetrix, Helicos Biosciences, Life Technologies, and T2BioSystems. His experience includes design transfer from engineering to production at Affymetrix, managing all aspects of instrument and consumable manufacturing at Life Technologies, and product quality management while at T2 BioSystems where Mr. Volke was Product Quality Manager leading to the FDA clearance of that company product.

Mr. Volke has worked with the SeqLL true Single Molecule Sequencing platform for more than 7 years. At Helicos, Mr. Volke managed instrument production and continuous improvement efforts. At SeqLL, Mr. Volke manages services operations, technology and hardware operations, manufacturing and facilities.

Mr. Volke holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology from Wentworth Institute of Technology, Boston MA.
