Maria Tió Coma

Maria Tió Coma, PhD has a diverse work experience. Maria began their career in 2014 as a Ticket Agent and Steward for FC Barcelona. Maria then worked as a Scientific Intern for the Alícia Foundation, a Research Microbiologist for the UAB - Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Department of Food Hygiene and CeRPTA, a Microbiology Analyst Intern for Establiments Viena, a Guide in Winery Visits for Albet i Noya, a Research Intern in Virus Discovery for Amsterdam UMC, and a Researcher PhD Candidate in Molecular Biology for Leiden University Medical Center. In 2021, they began working for GenDx as a Technical Support Specialist, troubleshooting customers' NGS technical issues for transplant diagnostics, providing education activities and guidance to customers, and updating internal CRM databases. Maria also works at SeqOne Genomics as a Channel Account Manager EMEA and a Customer Care Specialist EMEA.

Maria Tió Coma, PhD, completed their education history with a Doctor of Science degree from Leiden University in 2021, specializing in Molecular Biology. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree from the Universitat de Barcelona in 2016, specializing in Molecular Biotechnology. Maria then earned their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in 2015, specializing in Microbiology. Maria started their academic career by attending Nanaimo District Secondary School from 2009 to 2010.
