Thomas Coard

Thomas Coard has had a varied work experience. In 2015, they worked as an Undergraduate Researcher in the Translational Bioinformatics laboratory at the University of Maryland Baltimore County, where they focused on predicting disease-related mutations based on protein domain framework, datamined genomic and proteomic data from multiple different human and non-human sources, and scored domain positions mutations using entropy theory and the Domain Significance statistical method. In 2017, they worked as an Associate Software Engineer and Bioinformatics Specialist at Personal Genome Diagnostics. In 2018, they worked as a Software Engineer at Essex Management, LLC. In 2021, they worked as a Research and Teaching Assistant at Drexel University. Currently, they are a Senior Bioinformatics Developer at Sequencing.

Thomas Coard obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County between 2013 and 2017. In 2021, they obtained a Machine Learning certification from Coursera. In 2018, they obtained a Probabilistic Graphical Models 1: Representation certification from Coursera.
