Jacob Ige

Jacob Ige has a diverse work experience spanning from 2007 to present. Jacob currently holds a role as a Network/Operations - Systems Engineer III at Sequoia since April 2023. Prior to that, Jacob worked at Amazon Web Services (AWS) where they held various roles. From November 2021 to April 2023, they served as an Amazon Dedicated Cloud Engineer II. Before that, from September 2018 to November 2021, they worked as a Support Engineer IV, collaborating with service teams to deploy AWS services, resolving problems, and mitigating risk.

Before joining AWS, Jacob worked at CBTS as a Senior Solutions Analyst/Senior Linux Systems Admin from August 2015 to July 2018. Jacob also worked at Infor as a Cloud System Administrator from February 2013 to August 2015. Jacob's earlier experience includes being a Senior Systems Programmer at Walmart from December 2008 to February 2013 and being an Online Learning Specialist Simulation Developer (special project/Internship) at DIRECTV from August 2007 to May 2008.

Jacob Ige earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Alabama A&M University from 2003 to 2008. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications. Jacob became an AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in March 2021, an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from AWS in October 2020, and a Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 Systems Administrator from Red Hat in February 2014.
