Nick Mendel

Nick Mendel began their work experience in 2008 at Novetta Solutions as a Software Engineer. Nick worked on a small team to design and implement a software product for viewing and recording multicasted videos. Nick worked on the full stack, including the Postgres SQL database, RESTful API, and web-based GUI. Nick also created a RESTful API in Python and later rewrote it in Go for improved speed and deployment. In 2014, Mendel joined Booz Allen Hamilton as a Lead Technologist, where they worked on various projects using Agile methodology. Nick led teams, developed features, fixed bugs, and supported operations. Nick assisted in the design of a framework for processing domain data for a government client. Nick also wrote extensive SaltStack installation and configuration scripts to scale a legacy project and redesigned a UI using AngularJS. Additionally, they drafted a lambda architecture style framework and guided a project from inception to live operations. In 2021, Mendel joined Sequoia Holdings, LLC as a Senior Java Developer.

Nick Mendel completed their education in Computer Science. Nick earned a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from George Mason University from 2013 to 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Indiana University Bloomington between 2004 and 2008.

In addition to their formal education, Nick Mendel has obtained additional certifications. Nick is a certified Scrum Master from Scrum Alliance and has also acquired the Security+ certification from CompTIA. The specific dates of obtaining these certifications are not provided.
