Angela Behland

Angela Behland has a diverse range of work experience in the field of counseling and mental health. Angela started their career as an intern at WALSH Trust, where they gained exposure to various therapy sessions and conducted research on a supported employment program. Angela also worked as a research assistant at Boston University, participating in a study on factors affecting the health outcomes of HIV+ women. Angela later worked as a phone counselor at Parents Helping Parents of Massachusetts, providing emotional support to stressed parents. Angela then served as an admissions counselor at Palo Alto University before joining StarVista as a relief residential counselor, where they provided crisis intervention services and residential care for youth. Angela continued their career at Stars Behavioral Health Group, first as an MFT trainee and mental health intern, providing therapy to children and families, and then as a mental health specialist II. Angela joined Sequoia Mental Health Services as a full-time clinical care coordinator, working with individuals of all ages in a clinic-based setting. Angela Behland received their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology from Boston University, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. After completing their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling at Palo Alto University from 2013 to 2015.
