Talia Jackson has a diverse range of work experience. Talia began their career in 2004 as a Care Giver at Acumen Fiscal Agents, LLC. From 2005 to 2005, they worked as a Personal Aide at Families First, where they supported a youth with cerebral palsy and facilitated community involvement. Starting in 2006, Talia worked as an Assistant Office Manager at Dr. Michael Horowitz, where they handled front desk responsibilities and advocated for low-income and uninsured patients. Talia then served as a Clinical Social Work Intern at Davids Harp, Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare from 2010 to 2011, where they focused on developing social skills and promoting independence in adults with severe mental illness. Talia continued their internship experience at Reynolds Middle School from 2011 to 2012, providing counseling and crisis intervention to adolescents, as well as supporting students and families experiencing homelessness and food insecurity. In 2012, they joined Portland Women's Crisis Line as a Crisis Line Volunteer, contributing to crisis intervention efforts. Their most recent role was as a Mental Health Therapist at Sequoia Mental Health Services, starting in 2014.
Talia Jackson has a Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from Smith College School for Social Work, which they completed from 2010 to 2013. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Religion and Political Science from Marlboro College, where they studied from 2001 to 2009.
