Tom Welch

Tom Welch has extensive work experience in the field of mental health and psychiatry. Tom began their career in 2000 as a Physician specializing in Adult and Forensic Psychiatry at Thomas P. Welch, MD. Tom worked at this company for over 20 years, until July 2021. In 2009, Tom joined ColumbiaCare Services, Inc. as a Psychiatrist and held this role until February 2016. In 2016, they briefly worked as a Psychiatrist at Northwest Catholic Counseling Center for six months. In 2017, Tom became a Spiritual Director at the Franciscan Spiritual Center. Since 2019, they have been serving as the Medical Director at Sequoia Mental Health Services.

Tom Welch has a diverse education history. Tom first attended St. Therese and O'Dea High School from 1971 to 1983, but did not earn a degree or have a specified field of study during this period. In 1983, they enrolled at the University of Washington and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Microbiology, completing their studies in 1987. Following this, from 1987 to 1991, Tom attended the University of Washington - School of Medicine to pursue a degree in Medicine (MD). To further enhance their skills, they pursued a Master of Arts (MA) in Pastoral Ministry at the University of Portland from 2005 to 2008.
