Karina Chin

Karina Chin is an experienced educator with a focus on French language instruction and English Language Development at Sequoia Union High School District since August 2007, where Karina has successfully tripled the size of the French program and re-introduced International Baccalaureate level French. Karina emphasizes support for lower-income, at-risk students who are first-generation college attendees. In addition to teaching, Karina serves as an edTPA Advisor for STEP graduate students at Stanford University and has previously worked as a lecturer and supervisor for the Stanford Teacher Education Program. Karina's background includes coordinating a snowboarding program for at-risk youth and teaching English in Japan through the JET Program. Educational credentials include a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education from Stanford University and a Bachelor’s Degree in French and Anthropology from UCLA.
