Ricardo Petroni, PhD is a highly experienced professional in the field of cell biology and cancer epigenetics. Ricardo began their career in 2006 as an Iniciação científica at Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo. In 2009, they earned their PhD in Medical Sciences from the University of Sao Paulo Medical School. From 2014 to 2017, they were a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Sao Paulo Medical School, where they specialized in the analysis of new epigenetic modifications of histones in inflammatory diseases. From 2015 to 2018, they were a Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School, where they researched how information DNA is accessed and interpreted within cancer biology contexts. In 2017, they were a Visiting Associate Professor at UNINOVE. Since 2018, they have been a Research Specialist and Laboratory Manager at the University of Pennsylvania, where they have been utilizing CRISPR-Cas9 screening, ChIP-seq, RNA-seq, and ATAC-seq methodologies. Ricardo is currently a Senior Scientist R&D at SeQure Dx.
Ricardo Petroni, PhD has a diverse educational background. Ricardo obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from Sao Camilo University in Brazil between 2005 and 2008. Ricardo then went on to acquire a Bachelor of Pharmacy from FMU University in Brazil between 2012 and 2014. Finally, they completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Medical Sciences: Allergic and inflammatory processes from the University of Sao Paulo - Medical School between 2009 and 2013. Additionally, they have obtained two certifications from LinkedIn, Project Management Foundations and Six Sigma Foundations, in October 2021.
