Seqwater is the Queensland Government statutory authority responsible for delivering safe, secure and cost-effective bulk drinking water for more than 3 million people across South East Queensland.

We also provide essential flood mitigation services; manage catchment health; supply irrigation water to about 1,200 farmers; and offer recreation facilities enjoyed by millions of visitors a year.

As one of the largest water businesses in Australia, our operations extend from Gympie to the New South Wales border and west to the base of the Toowoomba ranges. We also have one of the most diverse asset bases of any capital city water authority.

Engineering and Planning

The Engineering and Operations team at Seqwater is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of bulk drinking water, flood mitigation, and irrigation services across South East Queensland. Key activities of the team include monitoring and maintaining infrastructure, performing risk assessments and safety evaluations of dams, optimizing water supply models, overseeing regional operations, and planning and executing maintenance activities. This team plays a crucial role in managing the diverse assets and facilitating the continuous delivery of essential water services to over 3 million residents.
