Russell Garlick has a diverse work experience in the life sciences industry. Russell served as the Chief Scientific Officer at SeraCare Life Sciences, where they contributed to the development and validation of molecular diagnostic assays. Russell also held the same position at LGC Clinical Diagnostics SeraCare. Prior to that, Garlick was a Co-Founder and Principal at Life Sciences Group, Inc., where they focused on commercializing technical concepts into laboratory tools. Russell served as the Chief Executive Officer and Consultant to Company at InQ Biosciences Inc., a start-up company specializing in cell research instruments. Garlick also held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Protein Forest Inc. Additionally, they have worked at PerkinElmer and NEN Life Sciences as the VP of R&D. Garlick's early career involved R&D roles at Dupont/NEN/SORVALL and Dupont Medical Products, where they gained experience in business development.
Russell Garlick pursued their education in a systematic and dedicated manner. Russell began their academic journey in 1972 at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences in 1976. Building upon their undergraduate studies, Garlick went on to enroll at Northeastern University from 1977 to 1987. During this period, they pursued a Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry, successfully completing their doctoral degree. Russell'sfield of study focused on the intersection between chemistry and medicine, further enhancing their knowledge and expertise in this interdisciplinary area.
