Maria Slowe

Maria Slowe has extensive experience in engineering and business operations. Maria began their career in 2003 as an Engineering Intern at Booz Allen Hamilton, where they introduced more efficient programming software for data analysis and worked on a defense project for the US Marine Corp. In 2004, they joined BAE Systems as an Associate Mechanical Engineer, achieving significant funding and work scope through ONR and presenting their work at several important meetings. In 2005, they became a Graduate Research Assistant at Duke University, where they assembled a new research lab in state-of-the-art DNA technologies. From 2009 to 2019, they worked at Logos Technologies, LLC as an Engineer/Scientist, generating and managing dozens of proposals for competitive responses to DOD, DOE, NSF, USDA, and EPA requests. Finally, they are currently employed at Sercante as a Business Operations Manager.

Maria Slowe earned a Doctorate of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science from Duke University in 2009, a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science from Duke University in 2006, and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2004.
